Catalina Ramírez Chaves

Ramírez Chaves is from Cali, Colombia, and is currently based in Los Angeles. She is co-head of Propagate International, she oversees the development and productions of Fuego, Propagate’s Spanish-language content label, working closely with other execs at the company. At Propagate, Ramírez Chaves has identified and produced different projects from the early stages of development and conception, to the exhibition, such as In Her Hands, a documentary co-produced with Hillary Clinton, directed by Marcel Mettelsiefen, nominated for Oscar Awards and sold to Netflix; and the series 90 Minutos, created by Joe Rendon, which was sold to Peacock/T+ and is currently in development. Ramírez Chaves also co-oversees the sales and distribution of Propagate’s catalogue including the HBO documentary LFG, the NBC talent competition American Song Contest and successful format Jane The Virgin; as well as Fox Entretainment shows like Masked Singer and Next Level Chef.
She was previously at Gunpowder and Sky, leading the international team and helping to shape the content strategy for titles such as the SXSW documentary Everybody’s Everything and the punk tale Her Smell starring Elisabeth Moss. Prior to that, she worked at Magnolia Pictures were she handled sales and foreign festivals, for films such as the Oscar-nominated RBG and Lucky starring Harry Dean Stanton.
